Lip stains

Den:2012-03-29 Kl: 13:08:02 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 1

Very Me Clickit Lip Stain - Oriflame
I think it's about time I did a little review on lip stains! I never really bothered to try lip stains, simply because red lipstick just seems to look terrible on me - but when I worked at The Body Shop, I decided to try one of their lip stains, out of pure boredom. And I actually liked it, so I went and bought one from Oriflame! I didn't really want to buy one for £10 from body shop, and this one was like £4 or something! I really really love it! It smells lovely, and it makes my lips look lovely and red, without the fake overpowering look of a lipstick! Definitely one of my favourite make up products!
I've been an Oriflame representative, but I don't get much time now to actually work on it, but you can order one from the Oriflame website!
(Or just buy one from a shop, but I don't know how good others are :P)

Bubble Bath - Soap & Glory

Den:2012-02-19 Kl: 20:39:29 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 2

I got this lovely Soap & Glory bubble bath the other day, and I have to say I am so impressed! There was soo many bubbles, I've never had a bath with that many bubbles! Haha! I think it was like £5.11 for the bottle, and it's moisturising as well so that's always good! :) I think next time I will put in less of it though, I actually had to put some bubbles down the toilet to stop the bath overflowing! :) Ali and Hasan seem to think it smells like beer though, and I guess it does a little when it's in the bottle, but not when it's in the bath (I don't think..) Definitely a good buy!

Liz Earle

Den:2012-02-12 Kl: 11:52:59 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 1
So about 2 weeks ago I ordered some stuff from Liz Earle - it was recommended to me by a friend so I thought I will try it out..
To be honest, I could have written this post 2 days after, but I thought I would give it some time so it's a bit more reliable!
I couldn't be any happier with it! I could notice a difference in my skin after the first use, and I'm not even exaggerating! Because my skin is really sensitive and I have Rosacea, using exfoliators on my face has never really been an option - it just makes my skin flare up red.. so it's always been quite dry and my make up tended to flake a bit after a few hours.. soo frustrating! But since I've been using the Liz Earle range, my skin is so much softer, more moisturised and definitely doesn't flake!
The Cleanse and Polish has actually won many beauty awards, and I think it definitely deserves them.. you apply the cream onto a dry face, (even if you have make up on) and then use a pure muslin cloth soaked in hot water to take it off.. this actually takes off the dead skin to make the moisturiser work better too!
The skin tonic is also amazing, I have the spritzer and the normal bottle, and I love them both! It smells amazing too!
As for the moisturiser, it works amazingly, however I don't really like the smell. The treatment mask is really good too.
My skin just feels completely smooth now, and I only have like one spot which is pretty amazing! :)
I definitellllllyyyyy recommend all of these products, even though they're a bit pricey!
Amazing service as well, got them like 2 days after I ordered them, I was really surprised, and they were beautifully packed!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - £13.75 (100ml) or £24.50 (200ml)
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic - £12.50 (200ml)
Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser - £34.50 (50ml)
Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask - £13.50 (50ml)  (or 15ml for £5)
Liz Earle Pure Muslin Cloths - £3.75 (2 cloths)

Sparkle Toothy Tabs - Lush - Solid Toothpaste!

Den:2011-08-29 Kl: 17:26:52 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 1

Lush; £2.50

I got these toothy tabs from Lush the other day, because I thought WOW solid toothpaste, it must be awesome :D
Well, the idea is great, but I have to say, it's the first product from Lush that I'm not happy with at all :(
I hated the way there was all these crumbly bits in my mouth for ages, and they tasted like I just crumbled a multivitamin in my mouth. It might be because I got the "sparkle" one, which isn't minty, and I like my minty toothpaste!
But it's not something I would recommend!

Aloe Vera products

Den:2011-08-16 Kl: 19:01:00 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 0

Aloe vera; soap, gel and tablets; all Holland & Barrett's :)

I got these products a while ago and have been using them every day since (apart from the soap which I haven't actually used yet, but it smells LOVELY).
I have to say, my skin has actually improved even though not a lot, but still :)
Aloe vera is a natural soothing ingredient so it's good for skin which is inflammed due to things like acne or rosacea etc. I even used the gel on my sunburn and it was great!
I feel like it helped more since I started using the tablets too (I used just the gel before) but that might just be me. But I thought that it would definitely work better from inside and out.
If you have any skin problems I would definitely recommend to try aloe vera products. I got mine from Holland and Barrett but I'm sure you can get them from many other places :) Best if it's as pure as possible though.

Silver Shampoo

Den:2011-07-08 Kl: 16:49:50 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 0

I got this shampoo shortly after getting my hair done, from a hair salon. It's a little pricey at about £10 for a 250ml bottle, but so far so good, seem's pretty worth it :)
The shampoo is completely purple... I have no idea why it's called SILVER shampoo! It literally makes your hair and hands and everything purple! So you have to make sure you wash it off and wash your hands really well :)

The purpose of it is to eliminate yellowish tones from your hair. Blonde hair yellows really quickly because of sun and pollution, so if you hate that yellow-ed look, this is the shampoo which will help your hair stay a platinum / white shade :)

The hairdresser said to use it every time I wash my hair, but I don't feel the need to do that. I do it probably once a week at the moment, and haven't noticed any yellow tones so far :)
Definitely a great buy ;)

Oriflame - Very me Concealer

Den:2011-06-08 Kl: 14:43:54 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 2

Oriflame - Very Me Concealer - £3.45

So recently I reviewed the Very Me Smoothie Foundation so now it's time to review the concealer!
I don't really have much to compare it to, as I don't normally use concealer. However, I was quite happy with this little magic want :) It did what it was supposed to do, and matched great with my skin tone! I got the perfect light shade!
Although I do have to say, It did start to wear off by the end of the day, which I guess isn't too bad as most things do anyway :)
And for the cheap price, what more could you ask for! I would definitely recommend this product!

Oriflame - Very Me Smoothie Foundation - £5.45

I got this lovely foundation to try out from Oriflame, and it's brilliant! Finally a foundation that isn't too orange for my skin! I got the Porcelain tone, but its available in Ivory, Sand, and Cocoa!
It's very smooth, and oh my god it smells gorgeous!! I actually wanted to eat it. It's enriched with yoghurt and berry extracts to help your skin, which makes it smell amazing!
It does last ages, although I do top it off with Rimmel powder!
Let me know if you want to order it from me :)

Toxic cosmetics!

I've been reading a lot of feng-shui stuff, for our new house, and I somehow stumbled upon this website about toxic cosmetics!
You should seriously watch this video, it's so interesting and will show you the world of cosmetics in a whole new light!

New scent

Den:2011-04-18 Kl: 20:29:57 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 0
I got this GORGEOUS new fragrance from Victoria's Secret :) It's so fresh and summery I can't help but be in love with it! A friend of mine was amazingly kind enough to bring me back 2 bottles from America :)
I'm very excited for Victoria's Secret to launch their stores in the UK later this year! This will definitely be a permanent buy for me!

Hand care

Den:2011-03-15 Kl: 12:36:00 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 1
I've been using this product for a while now, and it's soo good! It's more of an overnight cream because it's quite thick and oily, but it smells amazing and makes your hands nice and soft :)

Eye make up

Den:2011-02-19 Kl: 10:40:51 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 4
I loved the eye make up they did for me at the shoot :) Although not something I would do every day, I think it's quite nice :)
It took like an hour to do though (not even joking)
They used all of their own make up, which you can actually buy from them (I'm definitely going to buy the foundation they used, it was amazing!) It's quite pricey but definitely worth it!
I'm also wearing fake eyelashes, I wish I could put them on myself :(

Foundation!

Den:2011-01-15 Kl: 14:32:00 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 4
So I have like REALLY terrible skin, as those of you who know me personally probably know! It's really dry and extremely pale so most foundations tend to look too dark on me! (even ivory ones)

But I saw this on a beauty blog and thought I would try it out! To be honest, I've tried MANY foundations and this is probably the happiest I've been! It hasn't been flaky, and it doesn't look orange!

Miracle oil

Den:2010-12-23 Kl: 14:30:00 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 2
So I recently got this product from Bodyshop, and I've used it a few times. But I have to say, I think it's brilliant!
My hair is literally in a horrible awful state, because of all the hair dye and bleach and straightners! So my ends have been a nightmare, and my hair's been such a mission to brush through, but I've seen quite a difference in my hair since using the oil. It definitely feels smoother, and my ends actually don't look so terrible.
I would definitely recommend it!

The oil can also be used on the body or in the bath, but I've just used it on my hair!
I put it on either during the day and then wash it off at night, or at night and wash it off the next day, or just a TINY bit after washing my hair.
I only do it every other day.

Eye make up :)

Den:2010-11-25 Kl: 20:46:51 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 1
I absolutely LOVE the YSL volume effect mascara!
:)
It's a bit more expensive than highstreet ones but I think it's definitely worth it! Normal mascaras just don't seem to work on my eyelashes for some reason, and end up looking soo short and thin!

MAC foundation (again)

Den:2010-08-30 Kl: 11:58:56 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 1
So I wrote about the MAC - Sculpt foundation a while ago, and wasn't really that impresed with it.
However, I think I'm going to change my opinion.
My skin is quite bad, and until I get my laser from Harley Medical, I can't really compare how the foundation will look for other people.
But for a long time my skin has been VERY dry, and so most foundations just end up lookin really flakey after like minutes...
But most foundations tend to wear off really quickly too, even with my Rimmel powder, whereas the MAC Sculpt seems to stay on quite well! And the shade seems to match my skin tone a bit more, considering I'm really pale!
So yeah, I definitely think it's worth the money!

I use the N15 colour, which I think is the lightest one!

Price; £22.50

MAC

Den:2010-08-21 Kl: 10:53:03 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 0
So I'm trying out the MAC - Sculpt foundation, but to be honest I don't think I'm a fan!
I don't think I'm gonna follow the whole MAC trend...
It might just be because my skin is really weird and doesn't tend to go well with most things but still, I think it looks too cakey and fake!

But we'll see how it goes throughout the day!

Off to work now :(

Body shop body butter

Den:2010-07-25 Kl: 14:34:21 / Make-up and cosmetics / Kommentarer: 0
I got this Body Butter from the Body Shop recently, and I have to say it's sooo good! It literally smells good enough to eat! The strawberry one is probably the nicest, but its £12, and the raspberry one was on sale for only £5 !

I first noticed it when I got a  manicure and the woman used it on my hands! Smelt it for ages after!
Really recommend it :)
