So yesterday I finally got the email back from our landlord saying we can have a hamster! I couldn't believe it!
Just earlier in the day I had a dentist appointment, and I couldn't resist going to the pet shop and buying a few bits and bobs, even though I didn't know if they would say yes! I thought I'd just return them if anything..
Then I got home, checked my email and saw that they said yes! I was sooo unbelievably happy that I actually ate and then went out again and bought a cage, bedding and everything else I needed XD
I said I would get the hamster in a few days, but I just couldn't wait I was so excited, so I went back AGAIN to the pet store, and got the hamster! Felt sooo bad for her carrying her in the little cardboard box they give :( She must have been so scared!
But yes, bought her home, and have been trying my hardest to not touch her seeing as you're not meant to for the first day or 2.. Kind of gave in a little today and fed her a treat and she nibbled on my hand a little :)
I called her Bubbles, no idea why I just liked the name!
She's the cutest thing, a winter white dwarf hamster, so she's like the size of a mouse! Full of energy though, unbelievably hard to take a picture because she's constantly moving! She was giving me mini heart attacks last night, because she was climbing the cage and monkey-bar -ing on the roof! Fell off a few times too, I'm so scared she's going to hurt herself!
I think she loves her new cage though:) and I love herrrr ♥

Soo much fun babysitting today :D the weathers stayed gorgeous and we went out to the peace gardens to have some fun in the fountain :) Can't wait to do it again, although it really makes me want to go to the seaside :(

Ahh it's been soo hot in the UK over the last few days I love it! Although it's exam time and can't really do that much at the moment, I really do love it! Having all the windows open in the house and still feeling hot feels good :D
I'm just hoping this lovely 25 degree heat stays until my exams are over ahh!
Had a 9am exam this morning which wasn't fun at all, waking up so early is harddd! Who would think that Ali would be better at waking up at 7am than me lol! When I used to get up at 6am every day for college.. hmm.. I think my gap year / uni has made me a tad lazy.. ahwell!
After the exam went to the pub with Mitra, which was so lovely, (minus the bees) sitting outside in the sunshine eating our fat burgers.. They had some reaaaaaaaallly strange stuff on the menu, like burgers with bacon and banana and maple syrup wtfff?! Anyway, 1 hour sitting outside in the sunshine and I already have a sunburn... oh it's so fun being white... (not..)
Although talking about California life was fun, and hearing that I can maybe go with Mitra next time she goes was DEFINITELY fun :P
Ali's at work till late and probably won't be back till like 11pm, so just came home and have basically just been watching films with Hasan.. watched 2 films already, and getting ready to watch the 3rd! I loveee movies! Only thing missing is some ice cream grr... such a lovely evening outside! Tomorrow I'm going to phone up the gym to get an induction set yay!

So on Thursday Grace and Wendy came to see me in Sheffield :) It made me sooo happy I don't think I can explain..
I actually cried when "Reach" by S Club 7 came on because I love and miss them all so much! Honestly didn't want them to leave..
Had lunch at the pub which was lovely - Jacket potato yay!
We went to a few bars and unfortunately for me I drank quite a few shots of tequila.. I think the fact it was tequila mixed with the fact I'm on evil antibiotics made me have to go home early and resulted in very nasty throwing up! (which for everyone's sake I won't go into here... lol)
But it was still a lovely night and I really can't wait to see them again! Hopefully they will be coming again next month for my birthday yayyy! :D

So on Tuesday night we had our end of year ball :D it was at Sheffield City Hall, which was really nice because it's so fancy and posh!
It started off badly, considering I was meant to leave at 6oclock to go to the pub beforehand, and I couldn't fit into the dress I got for the ball :( It was such a lovely dress and I was soo excited to wear it! Did my nails grey to match and everything... turns out I've actually managed to gain enough weight that I couldn't zip the dress up... I raided through my wardrobe and managed to find the old American Apparel dress I got which is a multi-way, so I tied it up in a bit of a fancy way, and added a flower! Did feel veryyy under dressed though, considering how many girls were wearing floor length ball gowns!
Anyway, it was a lovely night, we got 2 free bottles of wine per table (not that I drank much of it, I really hate the taste of wine, Rose is the only one I can handle!) and a 2 course meal (lovely chicken main, and a massive cake with custard - came out really blurry so no pic!)
There was candle light, and a fancy band playing, which actually made me feel like I was back in the olden days :D
Then the DJ came, and although I didn't like a lot of the music he played, he did play some awesome songs like California Girls :D which was good!
Unfortunately I didn't take my good camera, because it didn't fit into my bag, so most of the pictures are rubbish!

So I decided to go see The Avengers today, mostly just to see what the fuss was all about...
I'm not really usually the comic-book action-hero sort of person, so I haven't actually seen any of the other marvel films...
However, I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was a truly amazing film, with lots of really amazing effects, a great story line, and the occasional humour thrown in to really make you laugh..
(I really think it would be quite epic to see in 3D really...)
It really kept me interested throughout the whole film, which is always a bonus. I never tend to zone out during films but sometimes I just watch it for the sake of watching it, whereas this film actually kept me wanting more!
It's definitely worth seeing if you haven't already!
Only been out for like what a week, and it's already climbed up to IMDB's top 250 in 31st place!
